HUB HR - Document Merge Tags
Merge tags function similar to mail merge tags in MS-Word. Merge tags denote areas within a document which will be customized with information obtained from the current new hire during the onboarding workflow. Thus merge tags are used any time you have a company document that you would like the new hire to sign or complete electronically.
Here are some sample merge tags:
Electronic signature of the new hire = *|EMPLOYEESIGNATURE|*
First name of the new hire = *|EMPLOYEEFIRSTNAME|*
Last name of the new hire = *|EMPLOYEELASTNAME|*
Full name (first and last) of the new hire = *|EMPLOYEEFULLNAME|*
Email address of the new hire = *|EMPLOYEEEMAILADDRESS|*
Hire date specified for the new hire = *|EMPLOYEEHIREDATE|*
Position/title identified for the new hire = *|EMPLOYEEPOSITIONTITLE|*
The current date in mm/dd/yyyy format = *|DATE|*
The current month's name = *|MONTHNAME|*
The number (1-12) of the current month = *|MONTHNUMBER|*
Numerical day of the current day = *|DAYOFMONTH|*
The current year = *|YEAR|*
Legal name of the company hiring the new employee = *|COMPANYNAME|*

A special merge tag to be aware of is the *|EMPLOYEESIGNATURE|* tag. If found inside of a custom document, HUB will require the employee to electronically sign the document and place their signature directly where the merge tag is found.
