Evo Classic: Using Checks Calculator

If you wish to use the Evo checks calculator to calculate a net check for an employee. Follow these steps.

Find the employee from the list of employee's on the Employee>>Employee Screen & double click on their name.

On the top right you'll see an "additional tools" section of buttons.  The first one brings up the checks calculator. Important to double check that you are on the correct employee before performing.

The Tax and Check Line Calcultor will bring in an employee's scheduled e/d's including salary amounts into the calculator.

You'll need to add check lines into the calculator for any additional earnings or deductions even regular hours. Use your keyboards down arrows to navigate to add a new code. Before entering the e/d code number into the column or selecting from the list.

Enter the amount for the check lines column or scroll over to enter in the hours & rate of pay. If you do not enter a rate of pay the employee's default/primary rate of pay will be used. Use your enter button to move along or the arrows on your keyboard.

When ready, hit the calculate check button:

If an employee is scheduled for direct deposit, the net pay will be zero. You'll want to review the D01 or D02 deduction codes used for direct deposits to see the net pay.

We suggest writing down or taking a screen shot of this information. That will help later on when re-entering the data in a live payroll.  There are options to copy this calculated check to a live payroll. If you are interested in these steps, we would perhaps suggest some one on one training.
