Windows updates needed to connect via RDP

As of April 17, 2018, to connect to ASAP's remote server using RDP (Microsoft's remote desktop protocol), specific Windows updates must be installed.

If you are using Windows 10, 8.1, or 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) you will need to confirm these security updates have been installed on your computer before accessing our remote server.

This update for bug (CVE-2018-0886) was released on March 13, 2018 via Windows Update through the control panel or PC Settings.

Windows 7: = KB4088875 or KB4088878

Windows 8.1: = KB4088876 or KB4088879

Windows 10: = KB4088786

To confirm you have this update already installed with Windows 10 go to Settings - Update & Security - View Installed update history and look for KB4088786 released on March 13, 2018.

With Windows 7 and 8.1, go to Control Panel - Windows Update - View Update history.
