What is NAICS 72?

NAICS 72 codes include entities in accommodation and food services, such as restaurants & bars, caterers, hotels & motels, and camps. The second round of PPP Loans allow employers under NAICS 72 codes the ability to obtain a loan for 3.5x their average monthly payroll as opposed to 2.5x for other employers. 

The North American Industry Classification System ( NAICS) is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. Businesses self-indicate this code on their tax return, and is often requested by lenders.

In general, Accommodation and Food Services NAICS 72 Codes include the following entities:

• Restaurants and bars
• Food service contractors & caterers
• Hotels, motels, bed & breakfast inns, RV parks & camps, & other traveler accommodations
• Rooming & boarding houses, dorms & workers' camps
